Too many people feel disconnected, alone, and forgotten. However, there are hundreds, thousands, millions, etc. ways to connect and engage with others and the world. The first thing God said was, “It is not good to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18). God invites us into community through our families, neighborhoods, work places, schools, friendships, fan clubs, and faith communities. All it takes is the willingness to make yourself known.
“God knits us together for a moment, a season, a lifetime, or a reason.”
It if for these reasons Spirit Garage offers a really big door. Come and enjoy. Take it at your own pace. Enjoy worship, a ministry, a small group, jump into a one time event or service project. In doing so, you will discover a more abundant life.
One thing you can do right now is update your profile. Upload a picture and share your faith story. Take time to read others. Engage and Connect!
Below are examples of some of the Spirit Garage Ministries and Groups. Not all of them are currently active. Many are seasonal. If you don’t see something you’re interested in, contact John Kerns and learn how to set up a new group.

3 on the Tree
The most sonically adventurous of the Spirit Garage Bands, 3 on the Tree can be described as a sacred cocktail of Rock and Roll and Classic Pop spiced with a heavy dose of Americana. Being the moody child, this band mixes it up with classics, current hits, as well as a strong catalog of original songs. Audition required. Contact John Kerns.
Revealed has a big door of music diversity laying down smooth blues, hard rock, and melodic ballads. Whether playing an original tune or a cover, Revealed brings a classic rock passion and purpose to the worship experience centered around music. Audition required. Contact John Kerns.
Spirit Garage has a really big door, but makes sure to have a handle down low to let the little ones in. Children are with the community for the beginning and end of worship. Toddlers to 6th Grade are invited during the message to attend Children’s Ministry where they will experience the message instead of listening to it. This includes: songs, bible reading, craft, snack, and closing in prayer. Children are invited to return for communion and the close of worship.
Heidi Hansen, is our part-time Children’s Minister. She is a full-time student at Luther Seminary working toward her Master of Divinity. She is also a mom of three grown boys. Contact Heidi Hansen.
Melissa Johnston serves at the Parent Coordinator. We encourage parent involvement. To learn more, contact Melissa Johnston.
We believe Jesus invites all ages to the Lord’s Table and to the Baptism Waters. For communion, simply come bring your child with you and share in the meal with them. If you prefer your child completes a first-communion class or have any other questions, please ask HERE.

Pit Crew captains are a dedicated group of stage hands that setup sound equipment, haul rugs, connect cables to mics, and decorate the worship space. Romans 12: 1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is true worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Help set up the stage and help people hear the Good News either live in person or online. On the job training, but past experience is a necessary. Please consider signing up for one Sunday a month. Contact John Kerns.
