During Lent, we follow Jesus’ Journey to the cross. That journey begins on Ash Wednesday. This is a time to confront our own limitations, need, brokenness and mortality in light of the cross of Jesus. During this service you will hear the words, “Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Your forehead will be marked with ashes from last year’s palms.
This year our Lenten Journey is called “Beautiful Lessons” guided by Mary Oliver’s poem, Thirst. Tonight will focus on the line from the poem: “Love for you, and love for the earth are having such a long conversation in my heart.”
