Join us on Saturday, August 10th for Eat & Art on Lake. This outdoor community meal is a celebration of Lake Street’s diverse immigrant and refugee-owned restaurants and will feature the artwork of local illustrator Cori Lin.

Spend the evening outside on Moon Palace Book’s patio enjoying a diverse menu of items from Moroccan Flavors, International Cuisine Bar & Grill, Taqueria Las Cuatro Milpas, Willo Somali Bakery, & Gandhi Mahal. Beer & wine will be available from Geek Love Cafe.

Cori’s year-long project, entitled “What We Feed Ourselves” explored the nature of food, culture, and authenticity through interviews with five Lake Street restaurant entrepreneurs. Join us to learn what these chefs eat and cook at home with their families, see Cori’s watercolor paintings, and read stories about this food from local writers Anniessa Antar, Isela Gomez, Maryan Abdinur, Christian Alberto Ledesma, and Aarohi Narain.

Stop by anytime – enjoy a meal together – connect and share with your Lake Street neighborhoods and small business owners.

>> 10% of proceeds will be donated to the MN Freedom Fund – a nonprofit that pays immigration bail bonds for those who cannot afford to!

Funded by the MN State Arts Board, MN Regional Arts Council, City of Minneapolis, Twin Cities LISC and State Farm Insurance.

** Event is rain or shine. No refunds.**
