The next book people have chosen to read is Deacon King Kong, by James McBride. It is a delightful and hilarious novel that also teaches something about race and history, with colorful characters that will have you laughing out loud. The audio version is recommended for the voices, but I’m sure it is good to read as well. We will discuss this book over two months, with the first meeting covering the first ten chapters.
