Advent Poetry and Creativity Night @ Zoom

Sometimes we sit with one another on Zoom, read poetry, spend time writing or creating, and then share our work as desired. This night will center around the Advent theme of “Gifts.”

I’m thinking of the line in a deep verse of “Little Town” that says “How silently, how silently, the precious gift was given” and I’m thinking of the “Friendly Beasts” that are “Glad to tell of the gifts they gave Emmanuel.”

I’m thinking of gifts we’re given;

I’m thinking of gifts we receive;

I’m thinking of the giftedness of all;

And I’m thinking of the gift of slowing this season down and living into it in a bit of a different way this year.
