A Different Lens Worship with Rev. Nikki Frontz

Once a month, our worship is our “Different Lens” series, when we hear and learn from faith leaders who are also People of color and/or queer, in order to hear a different lens on a biblical text than what we might have been taught. The hope is that we open up our theological imagination to broader understandings of these ancient texts, who God is, what God is up to, and who God is for.

This month, Rev. Nikki Frontz, the Community Faith Leader/Pastor for Solomon’s Porch (the building we share) will be with us to talk about the story of Hagar in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Rev. Nikki is a UCC pastor and also part of the National Guard. She moved most recently from Colorado, but was born in Mississippi, and has experiences in various church homes.
