Ash Wednesday: Prayer Around the Cross

Due to the weather, our ability to go online, and the opportunity to allow more people to participate in worship, we are moving Ash Wednesday worship to an online only service.

Worship will begin at 7 pm.

We will livestream to both YouTube and Facebook.

There’s a thread you follow. It goes among things that change. But it doesn’t change.

These words from William Stafford’s poem “The Way It Is” will guide us this Lent as we explore what it means to follow Christ’s call. Lent invites us to reflect on how God’s unchanging grace weaves through our lives, even amidst the challenges and transformations we experience.

Ash Wednesday invites us into Lent. This year at Spirit Garage, Ash Wednesday worship will be a contemplative service around the cross, with candles, simple songs and prayers, and the cross in ashes on your forehead, along with the words, “Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Join us. All means all.
